Dr. Syeda Rashida Batool, District Health Officer Islamabad, represented Pakistan at the Regional Workshop on Strengthening Hypertension Control in the Eastern Mediterranean Region (EMR) held in Cairo, Egypt.
A Memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the District Health Office and Al kauthar international hospital under the Public–Private Partnership framework. The MoU signing meeting was chaired by Dr. Syeda Rashida Batool, District Health Officer Islamabad, reaffirming the commitment to safeguarding child health through enhanced access to life-saving vaccines.

Probationary officers of the 53rd Common Training Programme (CTP), visited Community Health Center Shah Allah Ditta as part of their study tour to understand primary healthcare service delivery. The District Health Officer Islamabad and team welcomed the officers and briefed them on the facility’s role in community-level healthcare, key service delivery processes, and public health initiatives.
In collaboration with Federal Directorate of Immunization and Jhpiego Pakistan conducted a Lessons Learned Workshop on the HPV Vaccine Rollout to capture experiences and inform future phases.Key stakeholders, including health and education leaders, development partners, religious leaders, CSOs, NGOs, frontline health workers, parents, and caregivers, participated in structured discussions.
District Health Office Islamabad, in collaboration with UNICEF Pakistan, conducted an Adolescent Boot Camp activity targeting out-of-school girls aged 10–19 years. This Boot Camp provided practical knowledge on nutrition, health, and hygiene through skill-based learning, reinforcing DHO Islamabad’s commitment to strengthening adolescent health and nutrition initiatives.
