The District Health Office (DHO) Islamabad, in collaboration with national health institutions and global humanitarian organizations, has officially launched the Measles-Rubella (MR) vaccination campaign at the Community Health Centre (CHC) Bari Imam.
To safeguard child health and accelerate the elimination of highly infectious preventable diseases, this campaign represents a unified national effort. Strategically powered by the Federal Directorate of Immunization (FDI) alongside premium global stakeholders — UNICEF, the World Health Organization (WHO), Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation — the campaign delivers essential logistics, cold-chain assurance, and community sensitization to secure seamless localized execution.

In a pivotal strategic alliance, the District Health Officer (DHO) Islamabad met with the Chief Executive Officer of CHIP to systematically review the operations of Mobile Service Unit (MSU) camps. This high-level dialogue emphasizes our collective resolve to ensure health outreach remains continuous and equitable.
The meeting highlighted the critical need for constant operational adaptability. Mobile Service Units serve as a lifeline for distant communities, ensuring uninterrupted immunization access. Strategic plans were locked in to overcome barriers in high-need locations, focusing primarily on remote reach and robust delivery of the Measles-Rubella vaccine.
