To mark Parenting Month, the District Health Office (DHO) Islamabad, in collaboration with UNICEF Pakistan, successfully organized a first-of-its-kind Parent–Child Engagement Event, promoting the importance of positive parenting and strong family relationships.
The event brought together parents and children in a welcoming environment where they participated in a variety of educational, interactive, and recreational activities designed to encourage meaningful engagement and strengthen family bonds. Through shared experiences, families explored the value of communication, cooperation, and emotional connection.
A unique highlight of the initiative was the active participation of DHO Islamabad staff alongside their own families, reflecting the organization’s commitment to promoting family well-being both within the workplace and the wider community.
This landmark initiative emphasized the vital role of nurturing and supportive family environments in fostering the healthy growth and development of children. By encouraging positive parent–child interactions, the event contributed to building stronger families and healthier communities.
